Beth Behrs knows a thing or two about juggling a crazy schedule. As one of the stars of CBS’s 2 Broke Girls, the 30-year-old actress admits, “Balancing work and working out is my biggest challenge.” And with a new book, The Total Me-Tox: How to Ditch Your Diet, Move Your Body and Love Your Life, coming out this spring, Beth is sure to get even busier.
But she’s got a solid secret for keeping her workouts on track: “What I tend to do is schedule my whole week on a Sunday night—so I’ll plan my workouts and what time and I’ll actually schedule it in—because I find if I don’t have it in my planner, I’ll be lazy and I won’t want to do it. It’s like scheduling a meeting. I call it my Reset Sunday. You stick to it.” (Squeeze in quickie workouts with Women’s Health’s 20 Minute Workouts DVD!)
Beth, who recently hosted the Women’s Health Run 10 Feed 10 race in San Francisco, says varying her workouts helps her stay motivated, too. “For me, a typical workout changes every day because I get super bored, so I like to change it up and do swimming one day, yoga, Pilates, circuit training. It basically just changes every week,” she says.
